Hi, I’m Jon – The Bug Fella!

I’m a local family man, small business owner and someone who genuinely believes that good old-fashioned customer service still matters.

For me, it’s pretty simple: turn up when you say you will, do the job properly, communicate clearly and treat every home as if it were your own. It shouldn’t be complicated, but I reckon those little things make all the difference.

I bring more than 20 years of leadership and operational management experience to The Bug Fella, with a strong background in safety, service delivery and looking after people. Over the years, I’ve learned that doing a job well isn’t just about ticking boxes. It’s about taking pride in your work, paying attention to the details and making sure customers feel they’ve been genuinely looked after.

And yes, I’ve discovered I can get surprisingly nerdy about pest control! Whether it’s tackling cockroaches, tracking down where those pesky rodents are getting in, managing spiders or dealing with silverfish, I enjoy understanding the problem and working out the best way to tackle it. There’s something pretty satisfying about helping people reclaim their homes from unwanted visitors.

I’m not one for rushing through a job or giving customers the hard sell. I’ll take the time to listen to your concerns, explain what I’m doing and share practical tips to help keep pests from making themselves at home again. I want you to feel confident about the service you’re receiving and comfortable asking questions along the way.

If you happen to hear a bit of singing while I’m working, don’t be alarmed — it’s probably just me!

Music is another big passion of mine, and I’m lucky enough to perform locally around the Redlands. I do try to keep the full vocal performances for outside work hours, but I can’t promise there won’t be the occasional tune while I’m spraying. And yes, I do take requests! Although I can’t guarantee they’ll be good ones.

Being part of the local community means a lot to me. I’m proud to live and work in this beautiful part of South East Queensland, supporting local families and businesses and building relationships with customers who know they can rely on me.
